2017 International Day for Disaster Reduction organized by CDRCR

Centre for Disaster Risk and Crisis Reduction (CDRCR) the coordinating o9rganization of Frontline Project of GNDR in Nigeria organized a resilience building programme for schools in Nigeria on the 13 October to mark the 2017 International Day for Disaster Reduction at All Souts School, Bodija, Ibadan. The event featured over two hundred school children who were taken through lessons in disaster risk reduction, school safety and resilience building to disasters.
The event was also used to discuss the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030) and what they should take home from the framework among the students.
Children in attendance also performed various dramas and roles to educate on DRR and Reslience building
